Trash and recycling cans may be purchased at the Little Egg Harbor Township Clerk’s Office, located at:

665 Radio Road
Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087

Payment is accepted by cash or check only.

Container Limit: Each household is permitted a maximum of 3 trash containers and 3 recycling containers.

All bulk items must be placed curbside by 6:00 A.M. on Monday morning of your scheduled collection week.

Once a street has been collected, the Department of Public Works will NOT return until the next scheduled month.

Bulk Pickup Zones

  • ZONE 1: First full week of each month
  • ZONE 2: Second full week of each month
  • ZONE 3: Third full week of each month
  • ZONE 4: Last full week of each month

Please make sure all items are placed curbside on time. Late items will not be collected.

Please be sure to separate bulk trash from recyclable materials left at the curb for collection.

BULK TRASH INCLUDES:
• Appliances
• Mattresses & box springs
• Furniture
• Plastic toys
• Other large household items
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS should be separated from bulk trash, including:
• Metal
• Leaves
• Brush

ITEMS NOT COLLECTED BY THE TOWNSHIP
The Township of Little Egg Harbor DOES NOT collect the following items:
• Kitchen or bathroom cabinets
• Boats, whether cut up or otherwise
• Hot tubs
• Any form of fiberglass
• Rock or concrete
• Tile
• Soil
• Construction debris
• Brick
• Propane tanks
• Wood fencing

Please separate your items properly and do not place non-collectible materials at the curb.

The 2026 Leaf Pickup Schedule is currently pending the fall leaf drop.

🍁 Please stay tuned! The Township anticipates releasing the leaf pickup schedule in mid-October, once we have a better idea of when the majority of leaves will begin to fall.

Ordinance 2025-02 Amend Ch 293 Solid Waste Recycling branches

All regular household trash must be securely bagged and placed inside your trash container for collection. Loose trash will not be collected.

Please separate all recyclable metal items from other bulk items intended for collection. Keeping recyclable metals separate helps the Department of Public Works properly sort and process these materials.

Holiday Schedule Reminder:

If there is a holiday during the week, trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.

Please note: There is NO trash or recycling pickup on Fridays.
