FULL TIME MECHANIC – LITTLE EGG HARBOR, OCEAN COUNTY
Full-time position. Candidate must meet NJDOP requirements. Under direction, applicant must be able to perform various tasks including but not limited to maintenance and repair and servicing of motor vehicles and construction equipment, and knowledge of working with various machines and hand tools. Candidate should have knowledge of modern engines and equipment and their operations, knowledges of causes for motor failure and steps necessary to correct the condition. Ability to obtain, store, record, safeguard and properly use equipment, materials and supplies. Keep records, analyze mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems, do mechanical work, learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office and related units. Candidate must possess one (1) year of automotive technology at an accredited college or vocational school with at least two (2) years of experience in maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and construction equipment such as tractors, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers. Must have a valid New Jersey License, and must obtain a Commercial driver’s license within one (1) year of employment. Starting rate based on experience with full benefits.
