The municipal engineer is responsible for overseeing the Township’s annual capital program, storm water drainage management, traffic improvements, road repairs and paving, road opening permits, the Community Development Block Grant Program, the Green Acres Grant Program, special engineering projects, and general engineering. The municipal engineer also investigates problems and complaints.
Initial contact with Little Egg Harbor Township concerning most engineering issues such as drainage complaints, for example, should be made through the Township Administrator’s Office. The Township Administrator will take your report, open a file if necessary, and refer the matter to the municipal engineer. In many cases the Township Administrator may be able to answer your questions or provide you information that is responsive to your inquiry without having to refer you to the municipal engineer.
In order for us to properly monitor and control engineering costs we ask that you do not contact the municipal engineer directly unless a file has been opened by the Township Administrator and you have been advised to contact the municipal engineer directly.
