From Atlantic City and Points South
Garden State Parkway North to Exit 58. Make a right turn at end of ramp onto County Route 539. At third traffic light, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539 (known locally as North Green Street), make a right turn onto Route 9 South. Proceed south on Route 9 making a left turn onto Gifford Road. The Code Enforcement, Construction, and Zoning offices are located at 7 Gifford Road.
Alternate route from the south: Route 9 North to Bass River/New Gretna area. Proceed over the bridge and past the Viking Yacht factory. Continue thru next traffic light. Proceed north to Gifford Road. Make a left onto Gifford Road. The Code Enforcement, Construction and Zoning Office Building is on the right.
From Toms River and Points North
Garden State Parkway South to Exit 58. Make a left turn at end of ramp onto County Route 539. At third traffic light, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539 (known locally as North Green Street), make a right onto Route 9 South. Proceed south past Stewart’s, Tuckerton Candle, ACME, and McDonald’s and then proceed past the traffic light. Make a right onto Gifford Road. Parking lot is on the left adjacent to the West Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Company. The Code Enforcement, Construction, and Zoning Building is on the right at 7 Gifford Road.
Alternate route from the north:
Route 9 South through Lacey Township, Ocean Township (Waretown), Barnegat Township, Stafford Township, and Eagleswood Township into the Little Egg Harbor/Tuckerton area. Proceed through the traffic light located at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539 (known locally as North Green Street). Proceed south past Stewart’s, Tuckerton Candle, ACME, and McDonald’s and then proceed past the traffic light. Make a right onto Gifford Road. Parking lot is on the left adjacent to the West Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Company. The Code Enforcement, Construction, and Zoning Building is on the right at 7 Gifford Road.
From Philadelphia/Camden/Cherry Hill
Route 70 East. Bear right onto Route 72 East. Proceed toward Stafford Township and make a right turn onto Garden State Parkway South approximately one-half mile past Southern Ocean County Hospital. Garden State Parkway South to Exit 58. Make a left turn at end of ramp onto County Route 539. At third traffic light, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539 (known locally as North Green Street), make a right onto Route 9 South. Proceed past Lake Pohatcong and Stewart’s, McDonalds & Acme. After traffic light make a right onto Gifford Road. The Code Enforcement, Construction, and Zoning Building is located on the right at 7 Gifford Road.
From Trenton/Allentown/Jackson/Manchester
Route 539 South. Proceed directly to the Little Egg Harbor/Tuckerton area. At third traffic light, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 539 (known locally as North Green Street), make a right onto Route 9 South. Proceed past Lake Pohatcong and Stewart’s. Proceed on Route 9 to Gifford Road - make a right turn on Gifford Road The Code Enforcement, Construction, and Zoning building is located on the right at 7 Gifford Road.
Don’t Confuse Us With the Other “Egg Harbors”
Be cautious when following signs that you confirm your route is to Little Egg Harbor Township (or to the Tuckerton area). Our official municipal name is similar to the names of two other municipalities: Egg Harbor City and Egg Harbor Township. It is easy to confuse the three names as many have.
